TL;DR — The Quick Version:
Bag Tag is a free airport-guessing game, available as an iOS app and a web version. There are no accounts, no logins, and no payments of any kind — the whole game runs on your device with no personal data collection. Be respectful, don't try to abuse or reverse-engineer the game, and don't do anything illegal with it. We can update these terms occasionally. If you have questions, just email us.
Bag Tag is an airport-code guessing game where you find the location of a real U.S. airport on a satellite map, based on its 3-4 letter code. It's available as a native iOS app and as a standalone web version, both built, maintained, and copyrighted by Seth B. Young. By using Bag Tag, you agree to these terms.
Bag Tag doesn't have accounts. There's no sign-up, no email or password, no "Sign in with Apple," and nothing to remember or lose access to. All game data — your streak, your scores, your results — lives locally on your own device (see our Privacy Policy for details) and is never tied to your identity in any way we could access.
Because there's no account system, there's also nothing for us to suspend, ban, or manage on your behalf. If you ever want a clean slate, uninstalling the app (or clearing the site's local storage, for the web version) removes everything.
Bag Tag currently has no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no premium tier, and no ads. Every feature — Daily Challenge, Practice Mode, all 3,000 airports — is available to everyone at no cost.
If that ever changes in a future update, we will:
Please use Bag Tag respectfully. Don't:
We reserve the right to take reasonable steps to protect the app and its underlying services from abuse. Since there are no accounts, this mostly means we may need to rely on the app stores' or web host's own enforcement mechanisms rather than banning an "account" that doesn't exist.
Bag Tag displays real satellite imagery, which means your device connects directly to outside map providers to load it:
These connections happen automatically whenever you view the map, the same way they would in any app that shows a map. We don't operate these servers ourselves, and your use of them is subject to their own respective terms (Apple's and Esri's). We're not responsible for their availability — if a map provider's service is down or changes its terms, that can affect Bag Tag's map even though it isn't something we control.
Since there are no accounts, no leaderboards, and no public profiles, there's no "content" of yours that we display, publish, or share. The Share feature generates a short text summary of your results (your score and a color-coded grid, like Wordle) that's handed off to your device's native share sheet — that sharing happens entirely through apps and services you choose, not through us. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture of what stays on your device.
Bag Tag is provided "as is," without warranties. In particular:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss arising from your use of Bag Tag. Since Bag Tag is entirely free and no payment is ever collected, our total liability for any claim is limited to $0, or the maximum amount permitted by applicable law if a higher minimum is required.
We may update these terms occasionally. When we do:
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts, though we'd much rather resolve issues through friendly, direct communication first — see Section 12.
